Medical Director, UnitedHealthcare
William (Bill) Mandell is Board certified in Family Practice and Utilization Review and Quality Assurance, and a fellow in the College of Healthcare Quality. He practiced family medicine for 35 years. He was involved with organized medicine being on the Board of the El Paso County Medical Society and served as its president; on the Board of the Colorado Medical Society; and on the Board of the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine and currently serves as its president. Dr. Mandell passed the California Bar and practiced Health Care Law for 5 years. Prior to taking on his role as Medical Director for UnitedHealthcare of Colorado, he was a medical director for an IPA and a HMO, a surveyor with the Joint Commission, President of the Community Health Partnership, an organization of 23 stakeholders to provide care for the under and uninsured, and multiple positions in utilization and quality review. Since 2009, he has been a Medical Director for UnitedHealthcare of Colorado, bringing with him strong relationships with the medical community, and working on a daily basis to help people live healthier lives by improving the quality of care for members of UnitedHealthcare.
